Organic farming constitutes a mode of production which uses agricultural and livestock practices, concerned with respecting natural balances. These products are subject to strict regulatory requirements and frequent inspections.
Holistic, regenerative and sensitive agriculture. Demeter certification requires the implementation of good agronomic practices. Certified farmers favor raw manure (compost, manure) and amendments that enrich the soil – to properly nourish the soil and therefore the crops.
In the heart of the Costières de Nîmes, in the far south of the Rhône Valley, Château Vessière extends over 60 hectares of vines. Located at the gateway to the Camargue, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir and climate. This beautiful property belonged to Mademoiselle Lucie de Vessière who became Teulon's wife. The estate has been in the family for 7 generations.
Since 2019, the estate has also been committed to biodynamics, controlled and supported by the Demeter organization. Vincent has replanted medicinal plants on the estate, thus strengthening the vine's defenses against diseases. The aim is to reduce as much as possible the use of sulphur and copper in the treatment of fungal diseases of the vine!
