HISTORY
L’Oustau from the Latin hospitalis which means, the house.
An estate born from the dream of a cooperative winegrower who wanted to fly on his own wings but who very quickly wanted to return to his profession as a winegrower and sell the estate.
Jean-Claude Mas produces, with great typicality and a fine selection of plots, Château Oustau Saint André Les Bournasses, from Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
TERROIR
This is the domain that completes our coverage in the terroirs of Languedoc-Roussillon. Close to the Rhône, this domain is located at the eastern end of the Languedoc vineyards, in the triangle Nîmes, Avignon, Arles. The soils are alluvial, similar to those of the Rhone vineyards: clay-limestone, rolled pebbles, gravel and sand. The wines then express powerful and ample aromatics.
